Match the wire or cable application
For a cable jacket inquiry, identify the required flame test and finished-cable construction first. The JH-FR70E draft sheet contains development targets. It does not report a passing flame test. PVC is not offered here as a low-smoke zero-halogen material.
Prepare the material brief
- The exact flame standard, clause and acceptance criterion; avoid a general request for “certified material”.
- Cable cross-section, jacket thickness, other layers and an identified sample construction.
- Mechanical, hardness and color targets, current material and extrusion information.
- Trial quantity, destination, required evidence and who will perform the agreed test.
Agree the sample decision
- Separate the test objects
A compound LOI result and a finished-cable flame result answer different questions; agree the specimen and method for each requested check.
- Prepare an identified sample
Record the sample lot, cable construction and processing conditions. Establish the actual line settings through a controlled trial.
- Review traceable evidence
Review the actual report and its scope before agreeing a production batch or making a pass statement.
Documents to review
Ask for the current TDS status and identify which entries are development targets. A batch COA needs actual results for the named lot. An empty COA template is not a test report. An official SDS, third-party report or certification statement is offered only after the applicable original document and scope have been reviewed.
Purchasing questions
Does a higher LOI guarantee a cable flame pass?
No. The finished-cable result must be evaluated for its own construction and agreed test. The draft LOI target is not an actual result.
Can we discuss a VW-1 requirement?
Send the exact requirement and specimen details for review. Discussing a development direction does not mean a grade is listed or a cable has passed.
Is this an LSZH option?
No. LSZH is not offered in this product route. Raise a halogen-free requirement before selecting a sample.
