Buyer resource · PVC compound sampling
Technical files to align before a PVC compound trial
A useful technical file pack covers both sides: the buyer’s cable, process and test requirements, and the supplier’s material, batch and shipment documents.
1. Buyer application brief
- Final product, cable layer and voltage class
- Target market, standard and exact test method
- Color, hardness and critical mechanical properties
- Extrusion or injection equipment and processing window
- Current sample, photos, datasheet and failure report if available
2. Sample and test plan
- Agreed starting grade and sample quantity
- Material-level tests versus finished-product tests
- Acceptance criteria and responsible test party
- Trial date, feedback format and adjustment route
3. Supplier technical pack
- TDS with typical, target or actual values clearly identified
- Official SDS only when supported by real formulation data
- Relevant test reports only within their stated scope
- Packing specification and sample identification
4. Pre-shipment pack
- Batch COA with actual inspection results
- Approved specification and color reference
- Packing list, invoice and agreed shipping documents
- Traceable batch, production date and authorized review
Important data boundary
A target value is not a batch result. A material test is not a finished-cable pass. Certification, environmental compliance and third-party results should only be stated when the underlying document exists and covers the supplied grade.
